The Fourth World Center
The Fourth World Center for the Study of Indigenous Law and Politics at the University of ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø Denver was founded as a resource commons of authoritative information on indigenous peoples’ affairs.ÌýHoused within the Department of Political Science, the Fourth World Center provides resources and services that focus on the legal and political issues faced by indigenous populations. The Center also features a library, periodicals, audio and visual equipment, and news file archives on current development issues surrounding “the Fourth World."
BIPOC Student Resource Committee
The Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Students Resource Committee is a faculty committee in the Department of Political Science dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for students of color in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. As part of this effort, the committee holds two regular meetings every semester for students of color to discuss concerns, experiences, or issues pertaining to racial intimidation, discrimination, or harassment. Students may also contact members of the committee at any time throughout the semester to ensure racist incidents will be brought to the attention of the department and other campus units, such as the Office of Equity, CARE Team, Ombuds Office, or the Phoenix Center at Auraria. The primary purpose of the committee is to listen to and collaborate with BIPOC students to institutionalize antiracist resources and strategies at the University of ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø Denver.
The Romero Theater Troupe
provides a space to examine social justice and history on stage and in community workshops to bring awareness to social justice issues. The TroupeÌýisÌýcurrently based in Denver, ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø.
