Policy Intern - National Civic League - $7,000 Tuition Scholarship
Description of Job
The intern will support League operations by conducting research, producing written materials, providing assistance at meetings and conferences, contacting other organizations and related activities. The intern will assist all three program directors, our journal editor, President, and Office Manager. Some of the activities to be supported include our annual All-America City Awards program, National Civic Review publication, monthly e-newsletter, website and social media postings.
Employment Information
This position would start in September 2018. The position is an unpaid academic internship, which comes with a tuition scholarship of $7000. The position is part-time, temporary, non-exempt, at-will, with no employee benefits. The successful candidate in this position will: be willing to submit to and able to successfully pass a criminal background check; possess and maintain a valid ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø driver's license and be able to travel as needed in the Denver Metro Area, with occasional travel outside the state.
Skills and Qualifications:
CU Denver Political Science Graduate Student in good standing; good writing, verbal skills, and social media skills.Â
