Gentrification & Social Equity (PSCI 4075/5075)

Explore the causes and consequences of urban gentrification, in Denver and around the world. Study neighborhood displacement & homelessness, racial change and conflict, global capital flows, targetted policing, and social equity solutions. This class is taught by Prof. Tony Robinson. This course is a 6 day class that includes walking tours of Denver neighborhoods. The class dates are March 15-16, April 12-13, and May 3-4. Local Government & Affordable Housing (PSCI 4002/5008)

Explore the most pressing challenges facing our region through in-person, weekend intensive courses that inlcude guest speakers and site visits/tours. Topics in this course include: the origins of racial segregation, comprehensive city policy approaches, and intro to affordable finance. The class dates are January 25-26, February 15-16, and March 8-9 from 9am to 4 pm. This class is taught by former Denver City Councilmember Robin Kniech.
