Ali Alnazzal, a Political Science graduate student, has always been familiar with civic engagement through his studies, but experienced it firsthand during the ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø Capital Conference this summer. As a CU Denver representative, Ali joined teams from universities across ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø and traveled to Washington, D.C. in July to meet with leaders and gain deeper insights into the workings of our government. Over four days he attended seminars featuring a wide spectrum of political scientists and leaders, discussing topics such as AI technologies, foreign and local state policies, the U.S. agricultural situation, mental health issues, and the role of mainstream and social media. He described this experience as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that should not be missed.Â
