The National Political Honor Society Pi Sigma Alpha (PSA) Omicron Sigma Chapter will host a casual post-primary roundtable and department mixer on Thursday, March 7th following Super Tuesday (3/5). All political science students and friends are invited! This event will be from 5:30PM to 8:00PM at the Celtic Tavern on 1400 Market Street, which is one block north of the Student Commons Building. Attendees can arrive and leave whenever they like.
The event will be held in the private lower level of the Celtic, which has a nice old world feel with a fireplace and swanky chairs for our political soiree. This is an enjoyable place for a gathering where food and drinks will be provided, appropriate to everyone aged 18 and up. A panel of four speakers will each provide some short observations regarding the results of Super Tuesday. There will be time for Q & A, reactions, socializing, and having a great time discussing politics.
Fifteen states, including , and one territory will vote for party nominees on Super Tuesday, making it a critical step on the road to Election 2024. As there is no national primary voting day in the USA, Super Tuesday is as close as it comes. We would be delighted to see many people gather for a wonderful mixer where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their guests can discuss the coming election and mingle over food and drinks! The chapter seeks to connect its members and the wider university community to American politics. The National Political Science Honor Society awarded CU Denver’s local chapter with a much-appreciated grant to fund this event. We hope to see you there!
