This information can help students and parents/guardians learn about concurrent enrollment options and make more informed decisions about enrolling in concurrent enrollment courses offered at their high schools.
Courses:
The courses offered through the CU Succeed Program are equivalent in every way to the same courses taught on the CU Denver campus with respect to content, quantity and quality of work required, and the standards used to evaluate student learning and performance.ÌýÌýOnly courses that are approved and taught on the CU Denver campus are offered in the high schools.
All courses are credit-bearing and are applicable toward earning a degree at an institution of higher education.
Credit:
Students who enroll in and successfully complete CU Succeed courses receive both high school credit and academic credit from CU Denver.ÌýÌýEarned CU Denver credits areÌýrecorded on an official CU Denver transcript, which is identical to that issued to regularly enrolled students on campus.ÌýÌýStudents need be aware that the grades they earn in CU Succeed courses establish a permanent academic record and an official grade point average at all of the University of ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø campuses.ÌýÌýTranscripts are available upon on completion of a course, and students may request that transcripts be sent to institutions to which they are applying.
Credits earned can be applied to a degree program at one of the CU campuses (with limited exceptions), or they may be transferred to another college or university. CU Denver cannot guarantee that its courses will transfer to any institution, nor will it refund tuition for courses that do not transfer.
Enrollment in CU Succeed courses for CU Denver credit is optional. Students who wish to enroll in CU Succeed courses and receive CU Denver credit must meet the enrollment and payment deadlines.

Transfer and Applicability of Credits:
Generally speaking, institutions that accept University of ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø credits will accept those earned in CU Succeed courses.ÌýÌýStudents who know to which colleges or universities they will apply are encouraged to obtain transfer information from those institutions prior to enrolling in CU Succeed courses.
Policies pertaining to the transfer of credits and the specific ways in which they apply to degree requirements vary from institution to institution.ÌýÌýConsequently, CU Denver cannot guarantee that its courses will in all cases be accepted by all institutions, or that the courses will satisfy degree requirements in all core areas or majors.
Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways:Ìý
A large number of courses offered by the CU Succeed Program are approved Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways courses.ÌýÌýThese courses will transfer and apply to requirements for Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor’s degree programs at public ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø institutions in accordance with the Statewide Transfer and GT Pathways Policy.
This should not be interpreted to mean that CU Succeed courses that are not designated (GT) Pathways courses will not transfer to otherÌýin state, or out of stateÌýinstitutions.ÌýÌýThese courses often are a part of the core curriculum at other institutions and may satisfy a requirement, or transfer as an elective. Most degree program require 30 elective credits for graduation.
