Kathy Rendon has worked in the labor movement in ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø for 18 years. She has spent the past 12 years at CEA, first as a UniServ Director in Jefferson County and then as the manager of CEA’s Center for Organizing and Deputy Executive Director. She has been the CEA Executive Director since April 2019.

Prior to working at CEA Kathy spent 6 years at SEIU Local 105 in Denver where she worked as a Strategic Researcher, Campaign Coordinator and Organizing Director. Her work was primarily focused on growing the union by organizing janitors and other service workers to win card check elections and recognition.

Kathy started in movement work as an intern helping to organize immigrant day laborers at el Centro Humanitario. She also supported coalition building with immigrant rights groups in Denver and helped to develop the ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø Immigrant Rights Coalition.

Kathy was born and raised in ºÚÁÏÍø¹ÙÍø and is a graduate of Jefferson County Public Schools. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at Providence College and also holds Masters Degrees in International Development and Social Work from the University of Denver. Kathy lives in Denver with her husband and 2 children who attend Denver Public Schools.
